Word selection and sources

Know what the labels and meanings actually describe.

Selected senses

The built-in corpus includes selected English words with licensed definitions, usage examples and pronunciation metadata. A spelling can have multiple senses, but saving records a specific definition and example. It is not a complete dictionary inventory.

Editorial labels

Everyday and Stretch describe selection decisions rather than measured frequency, grade or CEFR levels. Theme membership is explicit metadata. Drawing and acting require their own suitability selections; a noun or verb label alone is not enough.

Review evidence

Word Sources lists acquisition, reuse terms and actual review status. Source linkage and automated validation do not establish human editorial approval. The project records any pending human sign-off without inventing reviewer credentials. Teachers and hosts should review the exact entries for their group.

Hide and report

Hide a bundled word locally to exclude it from future draws. Settings lets you restore it. Published pack counts still reflect the whole editorial inventory. Issue Details prepares a local report with the word ID, sense and content revision for you to copy; nothing is sent automatically.
